A 20-mile stretch of 6-inch fuel pipeline in Texas developed leaks allowing water to seep into the pipeline.
A hydro testing company working on the pipeline needed to treat 12,200 barrels of water with suspended solids and benzene from the test.
Along with a filtration system, a PowerPrime sound attenuated DV100 four-inch pump was used to pump and filter the hydrotest water. On-site pumping and filtration allowed the hydrotesting contractor to save more than $50,000 that water trucks and disposal fees would have cost.
