Renovation of the iconic Nantucket Dreamland Theater in the fall of 2010 required stripping the historic building down to create a new, more solid foundation. Located only 35 feet from the bay, the five-story theater rested on top of a high water table.
The dewatering continually removed up to 400 gallons of water per minute throughout the excavation, soil removal and compacting operations. A sound attenuated PowerPrime DV150c took the water and pushed it through filtration units, allowing the contractors to save money by discharging clean water on site.
